A highlight of this collection is the lipstick trio which carefully duplicates some of Marilyn Monroe’s favorite lipstick shades, each encased in a gorgeous bejeweled lipstick tube which is a replica of Marilyn’s very own lipstick that was auctioned at Julien’s.
Featured in the Red Carpet Duo is a lovely gold-plated compact encrusted with Swarovski crystals, a reproduction of Marilyn Monroe’s very own compact. In the Red Carpet Duo compact is the Marilyn Monroe “Silverscreen Powder” created by Besame to duplicate Marilyn’s very own powder look. It is literally the prettiest powder I’ve ever seen!
The eyeshadow and blush palette includes all three shades of eyeshadow that Marilyn used in her eye look. This is one of the items I’m most excited about, as I have researched one of these shades for some time now, a color by Elizabeth Arden which is no longer available, and it is extremely elusive to find any information about. This color has been painstakingly recreated from vintage photos of the Elizabeth Arden shade.
